I am researching families that joined the Norwegian settlement during 1860 and 1861 in Jackson County, MN. Thirteen of these settlers were killed in Belmont Massacre, including my great-great-great-grandparents, Lars G Jornevik (Hjørnevik) and wife. Their two-year-old baby (my great-great-grandfather) survived. The Norwegian and Americanized spellings used by these individuals included:
