My grandfather, Norman (Norm) Hall built the Camden Racetrack in Lynd, Minnesota. I am told it would have been around 1950-1960 and the track was in existence for approx. 6 years. It was a car race track. The track was built in/near Camden State Park which is surrounded by farmlands and very small townships. I first heard of this bit of history tonight. Google has not been helpful. My grandfather lived in Russell, Minnesota for much of his life where he owned a truck stop and cafe. At one point, Norm's son Calvin (Butch) Hall drove the #99 car in the ASA circuit. Later in life, he and his wife Opal moved to Minneapolis. Any information regarding the building of this racetrack would be most appreciated. Thank you.
