P. C. Kalin Died Last Week
P. C. Kalin, a pioneer farmer of Marshall county, died suddenly April 28, 1915, aged 67 years. He was born in Wermland, Sweden, in 1848, emigrated to America with his family and settled in town of Viking in 1888. A few years later he moved to town of McCrea, where he lived until 1907, when he moved onto a farm west of Argyle, where he lived until his death. Mr. Kalin was a hard working farmer, a good neighbor and a useful citizen. He is immediately mourned by his two sons, Axel, who is in business in Moorhead, and Carl who lives at home. The wife of deceased died in 1902.
the funeral was held last Sunday and was conducted by Rev. Jacobson of Argyle. A large funeral procession in automobiles escorted the remains to the cemetery at Warren, where they were laid at rest. A number of friends from this vicinity attended the funeral. Peace to the memory of the departed pioneer.
