According to the information I have, Palmer was born in ND,just a few weeks before my grandfather Sam, who would have been Palmer's 1st cousin. I do know that Martina was working for the McCain family in Blanchard, ND, in 1900 after she came to the US. Her brother (Hans) had worked for the McCains when he first came in 1893 and he eventually bought a 1/2 section of land from them. Gust (who came to the US with Martina) was working as a farm hand for Hans at that time. At this point I don't have any marriage info for Martina, but I can only guess that Palmer could have been born in the area of Blanchard. If Mable was born in Devils Lake, that is also in the same area. There are quite a members of the Ege family in the area between Fargo and Grand Forks, ND.
