I am seeking information on Benjamin Mash and his wife Elizabeth Haug Mash. Benjamin and Elizabeth moved to Ramsey County in the mid-1890's. They had been living in Alma, Wisconsin where Benjamin was a saloonkeeper. I did find Benjamin in the 1900 census living in Ward 5 in St Paul. It appears that he was running a boarding house. His occupation was listed as a cook. Elizabeth was not listed, but Benjamin was listed as being married and not widowed. Elizabeth was the daughter of Jacob Haug and Anna Iberg Gilomen Haug. She was born in about 1860 in Buffalo County, Wisconsin. She was a half sister to my great-great grandmother, Albertina Gilomen Liebermann. If anyone has any information on what became of Benjamin and Elizabeth, I would really appreciate hearing from you.
