Looking for any information on a Knute O. Berkness, born December 1, 1827, in Norway, died, October 1, 1916, in Todd County, West Union Township, MN. Knute was married to an Ellen Rasmussen, and may have lived in the Douglas county area of MN as well. One of his daughters was a Lena Berkness, who along with a number of other children were raised in the Osakis area. Knute is my greatgrandfather and would like to get more information on him.. According to his death cert., his father's name was Ole. He was a widower when he died. His grandson, my father was given up as a baby and I just located his father in Pittsburgh. I would love to find any new relatives out there. I grew up in St Paul MN but now live in Kansas City, KS.
