Anyone had luck finding obits, birth or marriage announcements from 1850s-1880s in Winona newspapers? Not only from Winona Newspaper Project, but other papers accessible through Minnesota Historical Society (such as St. Charles Herald?) Wondering if I'm likely to turn anything up if I pay MHS for a research request. Would like to hear about your experiences. Thank you.
