Surnames: Ulsperger Ulsberger Merz
"... Josef Ulsperger, born 1851, emigrated from Pichlberg nad Ohri in the Falkenau region of the Sudetenland in July 1884; settled in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he married Elisabeth Merz, daughter of Ludwig Merz ..."

There are various entries for a Jos. Ulsperger / Ulsberger at the Wis. Hist. Soc. index: www.wisconsinhistory.org
Insert the wildcard character, as in: Uls%erger to bring up spelling variations based on pronunciation; using U%l%s%erger will get you even more.
There is no Ulsperger / Ulsberger entry in the collection called "Milwaukee's German Newspapers; an index of death notices and related items" (1844-1950). But the indexing continues almost daily, so who knows?

There are entries for a Louis Merz in 1913 1916 1928.
