my maiden name is marek and while doing my research which isnt much has my great great grandparents coming from germany but spoke bohemian and others had listed just german not sure if the census taker just didnt care enough to put which it was or if they knew.I dont know point of entry yet but gggrandma emeillie(or other variations)came over in 1889 or 91 two different census records have two different years.
