Mrs. Annis (Reynolds) Johnson, a retired Alcorn Co. school teacher, died at 11:25 p.m. on Saturday, December 29, 1974 at Methodist Hospitol in Memphis after an illness of several months. She was 79.
Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday December 31 at McPeters Chapel with burial in U.S. National Cemetery in Corinth.
Mrs. Johnson attended Blue Mountain College for Women and Northeast Mississippi Junior College. She was married in April, 1920, to James L. Johnson, who preceded her in death in 1928.
She leaves three sons, James E. Johnson, of Falls Church, Virginia, Lester L. Johnson, of Memphis, and John Clayton Johnson, of Salt Lake City, Utah; one brother William Pitt Reynolds, of Burnsville; two sisters, Mrs. Willard Wilbanks, of Walnut and Mrs Elizabeth Bynum, of Booneville; 12 grand children and four great grand-children.
