Surnames: Lindsey Tate Newman Zeigler
I know that this post is a bit old, and that I'm coming from the other side of the search without any pertinent info to add to the question posed here, but I'm homing that it will reach someone that can help me.
The Isaac Lindsey mentioned here is my ggggGrandfather. All my family history dead-ends with him. If anybody can offer ANYthing about him, it will be appreciated. He was born around 1785, don't know where. Died in 1833, place of burial unknown. he was married to a Mary Tate, and had four children. He owned land in Louisiana, served briefly in the War of 1812. His sons that I can trace were in Amite Co., MS. One, William 'Buck' Lindsey, is buried in Lindsey cemetery, an abandoned plot around Gillsburg. HIS son, also William, married Susan Zeigler and are buried in Zeigler cemetery in MS. If you can connect to any of these people, I would appreciate contact and any info you have, I have plenty to share myself, it just all dead-ends at Isaac.
