Would like more info on a William Dunnahoe family who lived in the Carroll Co area "outside of Carrollton". William was an overseer at a local plantation. It is said that he died and was buried on the family plantation. I have his date of death as 1879. His wife was Mary Polly Cox b. 24 Apr 1835 and whose parents was Alexander Cox & Elizabeth Betty Fox. She was born in Hardiman Co TN and they lived there as well. What is the connection between Hardeman Co & Carroll Co? Is it easy to get to by river? Their children were William Emerson b. 5 Nov 1855 I think Grenada Co MS, Eliza Jane b. Jan 1857 MS, Sylvester Raymond b. abt 1860 MS, Tenny b. abt 1867, Florence b. abt 1870 MS, Sally b. 1875 Hardeman Co TN. I have located this family on the 1860 Carroll Co census records but Williams age is incorrect. Everything else fits, and I had family stories about his working & death in Carroll Co MS. Any help with records would be greatly appreciated and reciptrocated. I visit Hardin, Wayne, McNairy & surrounding counties and visit those courthouses alot can can trade research time as long as you are patient since I only visit there once every year or so.
