This burial site of Daniel Boone is the son of Col. Nathan Boone, the youngest child of the original Daniel Boone, Kentucky Pioneer.
I have a newspaper photo from around the 1930's which shows all children around grave site. One of the children was a daughter named Mary Catherine Boone Simmons. She is my Great Grandmother. She is buried in Coletown Cemetary, Lamar County, MS, next to her husband William Isaac Simmons. The newspaper clipping was handed down from my Grandfather William Isaac Simmons who died in 1966. He is also buried in Coletown Cemetary. No living relative has any information as to the location of Daniel Boone's grave site. The only info that I have is it is in Lamar, Marion, or Forrest county, MS. In the newspaper clipping, the headstone is spelled Boon.
