If you are concerned about destruction or damage to old cemeteries on private property, where your ancestors may be buried, or if you have been denied access to them, there will be a public hearing Tues., Nov 1, at 7:00 PM, at the Hattiesburg Cultural Center, 723 Main Street, Hattiesburg, MS. Local historical societies are trying to get a bill passed to permit access and maintenance to old cemeteries on private property. If you have pictures of before and after destruction, please bring a poster showing them.
