I just found your posts on rootsweb/ancestry. My family name is Sims. My grandfather was born in 1857 in Yalobusha County, MS to Benjamin F. Sims and Mary Ann McClendon. Benjamin's sister was Minnie Lee Sims, born in 1865, who married Steward Brazilman Pipkin. Minnie gave birth to nine children and passed away in 1902. These families were plantation owners in Yalobusha County.

James Sims Sr of Grenada County was a brother of William Sims, my gg grandfather, and the son of Parish and Kezziah Sims.


We are related to Mitchells, McClendons, Walkers, Suggs, Holloway, Ganong, and Rufus William Kendall.Others of this immediate family went to Drew and Pope Counties AR and Lowndes County MS.
