Looking for the branch of the HOWARD family which moved from Rocky Point, Attala County to HOLMES county (DURANT) around the 1870s. Some names I found include:
Louis or Lewis Pipkin HOWARD (1859-1919) and Florence Crawford (1864-1940) and children Ralph, Chester, Curtis, Louis, Ruth, and Benjamin Arthur HOWARD.
Robert E. HOWARD (1857-1940) and Elizabeth Ramsey.
Samuel H. HOWARD (1863-1945) and Blanche Wallington
John McCullen HOWARD (1862-1944) and Modena Lowery Cargill (1894-1979?) and children Modena Cargill HOWARD who married Thomas Richard Barrett in 1950, Sara McCullen HOWARD who married Coy Esklus Patton in 1950 (son John Howard PATTON born July 25, 1955) and Martha Ann HOWARD who married Chatwin Mabry Jackson Jr in 1947.
