Can anyone tell me anything about the Broughman and Wanalaw plantations in Holmes County? I am researching the Sessions, Meades and Egglestons buried in these two cemeteries and would like to know if there is any historical references to the plantations. They settled here in the early to mid-1800's. Several of the Sessions also settled in Natches, Adams County. There are other sessions that settled in Copiah, Scott, and I think Calhoun counties, but they are not my line, they may be cousins. Some of those Sessions I think were slaves that adopted the owners name when they walked away, there were also some slaves on Broughman plantation that may have adopted the name as well. Any information is great information. Thanks! Jenny Meade
