William J. Hough, b. 1843-1844 in ?? MS, was living in Itawamba Co. in 1860. He enlisted in 3 Miss. Cavalry Reserves in May 1862 and was a member of Co. D of that Confederate regiment through the war. He married M.E. Jamerson (Jamison) in Itawamba Co. on 7 February 1867. She appears to have been born in SC. The William J. Hough family apparently moved to Texas between 1870 and 1872, and they appear in the 1880 Census for Lee Co, TX (E.D 94, sheet 14, line 15). Two children were born in MS, W.J. (or J.W./Jess?) and O.J. or (J.O.). Children born in Texas were Alice Jennie (b. 7 July 1872), Lela Margaret (b. 12 July 1875), Ella R. (b. 1876-1877) and Charles W. (b. May 1879). If you are researching either the Hough or Jamerson (Jamison) families and want to exchange information/ideas, please write me by snail mail at: 4412 Eastwood Court, Fairfax, VA 22032.
