I am a descendant of Elendor "Ellen" Loper, b. 1812 AL, dau. of Joseph N. Loper (b. 1785) who died 1865 in Wash. Co., Al. Ellen Loper m. Matthew Reynolds and they lived in Clarke Co., MS. Matthew Reynolds died shortly after the 1850 census. Ellen Loper Reynolds moved to Henderson Co., TX abt. 1876 with her grown children and their families as they all moved to TX. Ellen's youngest child, John Meredith Reynolds, b. 1847, married Lucinda Jane Sumrall in Clarke Co., MS in 1876, just before the family left MS. They (John & Lucinda) are my gr-gr grandparents. According to the Will of Joseph N. Loper, my Ellen was a sister to your Thomas Armstrong Loper...so I guess we must be cousins!
