Looking for information on John Horton in Kemper Co. Miss. in 1860 living with a John Harper. There were also a William Horton living with him. John and William both enlisted in the Civil War on July 8, 1861 in Kemper.
A William J. Horton born in 1839 Fayette Co. Ga. is buried
in Kemper Co. Miss. in 1893. W.J.'s Wife Nancy Yarbour Horton is also buried in Kemper in 1919.
I think William is the brother to my John T. Horton.
There is also a Edmond J. Horton on the 1842-1846 Tax list.
