bsmentbarb - Most of the African-Americans Andersons from the Camden area in the 1800's were former slaves of Edward H. Anderson. Edward also took possession of his brother's (Thomas Salmond Anderson) 80 slaves in 1861. Certain Anderson slaves are mentioned in the Episcopal church register and on probate records.
