I found out today that my Grandfather Walter A. Beck was found guilty of manslaughter in Monroe County MS. and sent to Parchman Prison. He was received at Parchman on 03-17-1930 so I think he committed the crime sometime in 1929. Can anyone tell me if court records or newspapers in Monroe County go back that far? I never knew my Grandfather because he was killed in 1944. I have alot of information on him but this was a missing part of his life until today.
