He supposedly had 4 sons and 1 dau by 1840. The 1840 Yalobusha Co census shows several males and females (presumably sons and daughter) along with John G (age between 50-60). One of the males matches in age to the John L. in Rozendal's book.

iv. Jesse Lee TRIBBLE; born Jun 1864; married Helen E. Staten 27 Dec 1887 at Grenada, MS. (Probably Yalobusha Co., MS)
