I am looking for someone doing research on the Lee family that migrated to MS in the 1850's with the McGuire family. Amos McGuire (age 60 yrs) and Sarah (53 yrs) his wife were living in the same vicinity as John Lee (age 60) in Chickasaw Co. Amos was the son of Elijah and Everett McGuire of AL. Elijah was a Revolutionary War soldier. We do not know who Sarah was before marriage. Could she have been a Lee? Cullen Lee and his family were living next door to Asa (29 yrs and son of Amos) and his wife, Louisa Hardin McGuire in 1850 in Chickasaw Co. Could Cullen Lee be her brother? Cullen & Samuel Lee (in their 20's) were living next to John Lee and wife Mary. The McGuire's lived in Calhoun Co in 1860, but many of the McGuires eventually lived in or near the Yalobusha Co. line. Would like to correspond with anyone doing Lee research in Yalobusha Co.MS. My McGuire, Julia, ancestor married Wm. Dugard in 1860 and they are both buried in Water Valley, MS. in unmarked graves. Two of her sisters were also buried there. Mary Jane
