Col./Judge Thomas Rodney was named Territorial Judge to the new MS Territory. His son, Caesar A. Rodney II married Susan Hunn. Their daughter, Susannah A. Rodney married James Wallace and they operated a private school in Noxubee Co. and Grenada, MS. Their daughter, Susan Wallace married Dr. Hundley Vaughan in Calhoun Co. and moved to Water Valley, Yalobusha Co. in 1850. He was old when they married and served the county as a doctor during the Civil War. My Grandmother, Z. Louisa Vaughan married Felix C. Hunt, son of Thomas Hunt (d.1847 cherokee Co., GA) in 1881. TFelix' mother was Maria Ann Eliz. Hale, daughter of Shadrack Hale of Water Valley. Shadrack married Amanda Brown 2nd. and had large family. Shadrack and his father went from TN to Water Valley about 1832. The Hales were originally from Baltimore, MD. to Bedford, VA (where the Hunts were) and on to TN and MS.Shadrack's father was Talbot/Tolbert Hale. Leeman may have been another son. T.A.Hale Jr. died in the Civil War and is buried on a farm in Yalobusha Co. The Vaughans were from Caroline Co., Va. to SC, to Franklin Co., GA. to Limestone Co., AL to Monroe and Calhoun and Yalobusha Cos., MS. Felicia V.K.Gourdin
