Yalobusha County - ATTN: Mr. William Ward 'Yalobusha County, Mississippi cemetery records' Yalobusha County Historical Society - information, exact location, or directions to the graves of the above.
I am researching my ancestors. My father, William Howard Sartor, and his brother, Charles Douglas Sartor, were the two sons (plus 3 sisters) of William Henry Sartor and Virginia Galloway Johnson Sartor. William Henry and his son, William Howard, were both born in Paris, Lafayette County and lived in Water Valley, Yalobusha County. Charles also lived in Water Valley, but I am unsure of his birthplace.
William Henry Sartor and his brothers, George Washington Sartor and Enoch Jefferson Sartor, and their sister, Callie Sartor, were all children of my g grandfather, Joshua Daniel Sartor. Joshua Daniel was supposedly born in TN. His DOB is reportedly March, 1850. JD married Rebecca Hollowell in Lafayette County. They later moved to Yalobusha County.
John Peter Sartor, who was born abt. 1836 in TN, is one of Joshua Daniel's brothers. John Peter was reportedly a veteran of the Civil War. John Peter married Elizabeth Pensie Vaughn in Lafayette County and later moved to Yalobusha County. JP and JD are two of the sons of a William Sartor who is shown in the 1870 Census of Lafayette County. I will certainly appreciate any and all information that is sent - Thank You.
