Three men by the last name of Rundell migrated to Claiborne County, Mississippi before it was a state. All three received spanish land grants between 1788-1792. They settled at Port Gibson and one at Grand Gulf. Their names were Seth, Josiah and Joshua Rundell. I have researched these three after they arrived at Port Gibson and they were the only three Rundells in the Mississippi Territory. I believe they came from New York but I am not 100% convinced. I believe they were all related due to the documentation I found in Port Gibson. I know they came with Abraham and James Lobdell.
I would greatly appreciate any information on these three. I know Seth Rundell owned a plantation along old colony road and died in 1839 leaving his widow Elizabeth. Does anyone know the location and/or name of his plantation? I plan another visit to Port Gibson soon.
