Julia Ann Stonecipher, one of the the oldest residents of the community, died at the home of her son David, in Hurdland, Friday, April 12, 1918. She was born near Louisville, Ky., Oct. 13, 1823, thus being more than 94 years old at her death.
Mrs. Stonecipher was loved by all who knew her. At an early age she was converted and united with the United Brethern church and lived a quiet consistent life. Her faith in the God she loved never wavered.
The funeral was preached in the Holiness church in Hurdland Sunday by Rev. Rucker and the remains were laid to rest in the Paultown cemetery to await the resurrection.
