I see this thread is a few years old not sure if anyone is still searching or not, but I am George Washington and Leona Oliver Coons grandson. I have recently started searching and ran into the road block of J W Coon and S E Coon from Lewis County Missouri. Just wondering if anyone has had any luck with any more info on them besides the 1880 US Federal census.
