After reading about the smallpox epidemic in MO and Audrain Co., and having a "family story" about 4 family members who died from smallpox, I am wondering if there is any source of information (i.e. newspaper articles) listing those who died from smallpox during the 1860-1864 time frame.

If anybody has any ideas of a source of information, I would really appreciate help on this. I have looked at the cemetery listings and I can find nothing on this family.

I am looking for: Martha J. Boyd, Ella Boyd, James A. Boyd, and George Boyd. Martha's parents, Henry and Dorcas Crawford are buried in Audrain, as is her husband, Dr. Walter A. Boyd, and his second wife, Lucy G. Canada Boyd.

Thank you,
Sandy Boyd Lipsey sbjol1@netzero.com
