(excerpts) admitted to the bar after the war...twice elected to the legislature...served one four year term in the state senate...prosecuting attorney of the county. In 1880 was elected attorney general of the state. After this term he moved to Jefferson City to practice law. In a few years he lost his eyesight and returned to Mexico. He had no children...many relatives in this part of the state.
