Surnames: Nicolson, Brown, Lester, Maglaughlin, Sanders, Busch
Walter Nicolson died Dec.29,1889 In Lincoln, of Rabies. His wife Agnes Brown Nicolson preceded him in death in Nov.30,1882. Walter had been the owner of the Nicolson Hotel in Lincoln and it is believed that his older daughter Jane Brown Nicolson/ married name unknown was running the hotel at that time and also became the caretaker of the four youngest Nicolson children living at home. We beleive that Jane was the oldest daughter born Aug.2,1859 in Michigan, her death is listed as feb.12,1935. The next child a boy Walter Jr. was born Aug.2,1861 in Warsaw Co., said to have died April 21,1899 Los Angles, Calif,- Elleln Sarrah Nicolson (Married name,Lester)was born Mar.2,1863 in Benton Co (Lincoln) died Jan 20, 1934
James Brown Nicolson born Dec.18,1865, Margaret Elizabeth Nicolson (Married name Maglaughlin) Oct 27,1868, John Alexander, Dec.28,1872, Jemima Brown Nicolson (Married name Sanders) Oct. 9,1874
Loren Ernest Nicolson Nov.15,1880, Arthur Thomas Nicolson April 3,1882. Arthurs mother died when he was 7months old and his father died when he was seven. We would like to find out who the girls married? Also what happened to all the Nicolson children? Where did then go? A lot of migration was going on after the Civil War. We think that James Brown Nicolson died in Philadellphia Pa. in 1930. He may have been married to a Lizzie Busch who died Dec.18,1933 in Philadelphia Pa.
If anyone has information on this family please contact us.
We do have the history on Arthur Thomas Nicolson who married Catherine McCall (Hayner) and the Neff, Freund, Harrimen, connection there, thanks to the many of you who have used this board. We appreciatel all that has been done and the time you put in helping us find our family. We would like to put the Nicolson children back togeather again.
