I have traced my family to Caldwell County where Moses B. Ray purchased property from the Government in about 1850. The Family, Moses B. Ray, wife Rachael, Children Hiram, Sarah, John F. and others appear in the 1850 and 1860 Census, then just disappear. Moses J. Ray was a neighboring landowner and Moses B. also owned property in Clinton Co. They don't show in the 1876 History of Caldwell Co. They were Southern sympathizers and owned a slave. I think I find Rachael and Hiram in the 1880 Census in Platte Co. She's listed as a window. WHERE'D THEY GO. I need a link back to Kentucky where Moses B. was born in 1813. Rachael and He married in Decatur, Indiana in 1833. No cemetery records for Ray's. Please Help.
