Oct 1849, probably in TN, who m. 8 May 1870 in Christian Co., MO "at her father's residence" according to the marriage license, but it doesn't give his name! (Her name is spelled "Abancy" in the record.) They were married by J.W. PARKS, preacher. Catherine DYE, probably a sister of George DYE, and George R. GARRISON were married 5 Jun 1870, their marriage license appearing right above George and Alabama's in the Christian Co. record. George DYE's father was John DYE b. abt 1823 in KY, who was married three times, first to E. ???, George's mother, and then to sisters, Louisa and Martha REDMAN, daughters of John B.N. REDMAN and Rebecca PAYTON. There likely were children from all three marriages. John DYE had a brother, William DYE b. abt 1820 in KY, who married Keziah ???. The DYE family was in Taney Co., MO in 1850 and 1860, in the area that was later part of Christian Co., MO. Any information on any of the above families would be appreciated.
