Is there a source for land records in Clark County from the 1860s - either info on how to get them from the courthouse or someone who's willing to do lookups? Can't seem to find much online, maybe I'm looking in the wrong places. I'm looking for Jacob Plum Fleming and John Fleming, who the family lore says farmed in the Fairmont area after 1860 but moved to Iowa in 1869 "because of all the trouble with Jesse James" (presumably that's the embroidery on the family tale). Thanks for any advice or suggestions!
