James Morrow in Cole County early 1820's

Classification: Query
Surnames: Morrow, Grisham, Mcclure, Snelson
James Morrow was born in North Carolina in 1782. He married Sarah (probably Grisham) and had a couple of children there b4 moving to Ohio around the War of 1812. James lived in Ohio about ten years having several Ohio born children b4 moving to Missouri in the early 1820's. He remarried to Alis Mcclure in the early 1820's as well. His sons were Snelson, Benjamin, Thomas, Richard, Joseph, Robert(my line), John Clark, and John Mcclure Morrow. His daughters were Minerva, Margaret Ann, Sarah, and Elizabeth Morrow. He died in Cole County, Mo in 1858. James is my great great great grandfather and is just as great of a brick wall to me. I have seen several other family trees that declare his father's name was Richard and a biography of a grandson of James allegedly exists substantiating this. I have a loose theory that he may be the brother of Joseph Maxwell Morrow of Gasconade and later Adair County, MO, as Joseph married a Snelson, James named his first son Snelson, and they both had a father named Richard. Anyone else out there know anything about my ggg-granddad? RSVP. Thank you.
