Harold, regarding your Emaline Gosnell, who married John Woolery 8/18/1859 inCooper Co., Mo., she first married William Thompson 7/4/1858 in Cooper Co. Her marriage was very short and possibly was annulled because she used the name Gosnell on both marriages. Other than the marriage info for Emaline, I didnot find her on any census reports. No John Woolery in MIssouri (or other states had a wife named Emaline.
However, on the 1860 census of Cooper Co. I did find the following JOhn Woolery. John was age 31, wife Margaret E. was 21, and son Joseph A. , age 7 months. (NOTE: Apparently Joseph was born circa Nov., 1859, conceived about Feb., 1859. During this time frame Margaret was married to Thompson. Possibly this is why the married to Thompson was so short. She had an affair with John Woolery while married to Thomspon.).
I didnot find them on the 1870 census, but apparently during the period 1860-1880 they moved to Cass Co., Mo. On the 1880 Cass Co. census were John (age51), Margaret (41), Thomas (16), Lillie (13), Lenora (11),Rebecca Hattie (9), and son Leslie (2). Apparently son Joseph was living woth another family, possibly as a farmer.
Per the 1900 census of Cass Co. were John (age 73, born 6/1827, both parents born in Pa.); Margaret (age 61, born 12/1838, born in Ky., father in Ky. and mother in Va.), and daughter Httie (age 28, born in Mo.) They indicated they were married circa 1858, had 6 children and all were alive in 1900.
On the 1910 census of Cooper Co, Margaret lived with daughter(Lenora ?) and her family. She indicated she was a widow and married 1859.
Supposedly, Emaline 's (Margaret E. ??) parents were James and Elizabeth Gosnell, of Ky. (possibly Barren Co.)
I hope I have'nt confused you too much. Bob Eddings - no relation.
