All my research indicates that is correct; and is in agreement with the work of Mrs. Jean R. Carter. However, in reading the New Lebanon Businesses in 1860 from the History of the New Lebanon community it states "John T. Drinkwater, Sr. was proprietor of the hotel. One of his sons, John T. Drinkwater, Jr. was the local blacksmith. John T. Drinkwater Sr. had five children, Polly, Margaret (married James Deckard), William Drinkwater died Cooper County, Mo, James Drinkwater (went to Texas) and John T. Drinkwater Jr. born 15 Mar 1821 m Nancy Deckard........"
My question is how accurate would this information be????as opposed to the other.
