Hi all,

For those of you who are related to the above surnames of Daviess Co, I have some old family photos I was given on Thanksgiving. They came from an estate of one of my great uncles who was born in Daviess Co. and am willing to share what I have to descendents of these names.

I have what looks to be a Alexander Knapp Love family reunion photo in very good condition taken probably after Alexander died in 1902. There is a cabin in the background and the entire family sitting in front of it. It's quite a large family so you see at least 3 generations of the family in the
photo. There is some writing on the back but it is too faded to read; I hope to find some means of bringing the writing back to life via a rubbing or whatever to see exactly what it says. I also have another photo of what may be the Love homestead in Daviess Co.

I also have a photo of Ella and Lee Whitt together as well as one of Minnie Whitt, Rachel McCrary and what is probably a daughter (about a 2-3 years old) of Rachel's, all of which were taken in Gallatin; all are still quite young in the photo and one of Loveman "Doc" Love's son Charlie as a child. I also have a photo of a nice looking young gentleman by the name of Ed Baker.

I'm not sure of the relationship of Mr. Baker to my family but I think we wouldn't have the photo, if indeed there wasn't any relationship at all. I know that there was a marriage of a Lucy E. Clark and a Baker IIRC, but off the top of my head at the moment, I don't know when it was-1882 I believe in
Daviess Co. I think, that this particular Lucy may be a ggaunt of mine and that this is her marriage. Can anyone do a lookup for me and see who might be listed as parents for her, if any are listed at all? My Lucy's parents are John and Priscilla CLARK.

My ggrandmother was Gelsena Ellen "Ella" Love, the 6th child of Alexander Knapp Love and by marriage was related to the Whitt, McCrary, Clark, Noah, and Mapes families of Daviess Co.
