I am seeking information about the descendants of Abraham (Abe) GROOM, son of Abraham GROOM and Jane CRAWFORD. "Abe" was born about 1808 in Clark County, Kentucky and died betweem 1850 - 1854 in Clinton Co., MO.


He married Mary (Polly or Pop) ADAMS, born October 08, 1817 in Fayette County, Kentucky the daughter of John ADAMS and Sarah (Sally) HOLTZCLAW.

Abe and Mary had three children:

After Abe's death ca 1854, "Polly" ADAMS GROOM, married March 20, 1855 in Clinton Co., George Clark STEPHENS. Clark STEPHENS' 1st wife, Sarah GROOM, was Abe GROOMS's sister. It is believed that Clark and Mary ADAMS GROOM STEPHENS lived in DEKALB County, Missouri for some time. Clark and Polly had one known child, Alexander D. STEPHENS, born ca 1858. In 1880, Clark STEPHENS was living in Davies County, Missouri.
