I have been told that my grandfather J. Walter Luallen ran the cannery at Topaz, MO where the Topaz Mill still stands. Walter & Susie Luallen left MO in 1926 and settled in Sanger, CA. Walter's father, Elihu Luallen, is buried at Mt. Ararat Cemetery. I visited the mill site as a child. I grew up thinking that my grandfather ran the mill but an aunt told me shortly before she died that he had run the cannery. Can anyone verify this for me?
