Ezra Davis

Sunday, February 15, 2009 Daily Dunklin Democrat Ezra Davis, 98, of Campbell, Mo., died Thursday, Feb. 12, 2009, at General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell.

Born July 18, 1910, in Pollard, Ark., son of the late William Calvin and Louisa Largent Davis, he was a retired farmer and a member of the General Baptist Church in Campbell.

On July 26, 1933, in Pollard, Ark., he married Ruth Davis, who preceded him in death on Oct. 7, 1975. He later married Ella Whiteside on March 7, 1977, in Broseley, Mo., and she preceded him in death on Aug. 9, 2006. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Sarah Annie Palmer and Etta Mayo and three brothers, Tommy, Amos and Elisha Davis.

Survivors include step-children; step-grandchildren; step-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 14, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Earl D. Dell officiating.

Burial was in the Elder Cemetery at Campbell.
