Thanks. All were born or lived in Dunklin County most of their lives. Martha J or Mattie Dial was first married to Prede Hayden then to J. E. Swindle and finally Albert or Elbert Johnson. I have access to the 1930 census. I think both Mattie and Albert/Elbert passed between 1930 and 1940. I haven't committed their information to memory yet.

In the 1880 Dunklin County census, a Dial family and my Johnson family lived fairly close to each other. My Albert Johnson was considered blind and I wonder if this was the same guy that Mattie married. If so, then I have acquired a photo of my grandfather's uncle. My grandfather died in 1933 when my father wasn't yet 2 years old so there are no stories or photos that have been passed down. I have had to rely on research and the generosity of those that have family photos to see what my ancestors looked like.

I am also descended from the Lanier, Privett, Bolin and Welch families and connections to Fry/Friar, Jones, Denbow, that populated Dunklin County starting in 1850 through the time that my grandfather left around 1928. My roots in Dunklin County run deep, at least 3 generations lived there.
