Doris Ann Jones, 80, Union, passed away Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, in Washington.

She was born Sept. 15, 1932, in Glascow, Mo., the daughter of the late Jacob Shively and wife Avel, nee Fisher.

Mrs. Jones received her education in Monroe City. She was united in marriage to Donald Jones Sept. 17, 1950, in Monroe City. They made their home in Hannibal and moved to Union in 1956.

Mrs. Jones had worked with her daughters, Vickie and Marsia, at Vickie's One Meal or More food trailer in the Washington Industrial Park from 1998 until 2001.

She was a member of St. Gertrude Parish, Krakow.

Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ray Jones, Jan. 17, 1984; and one brother, Carl Shively.

She is survived by her son, Don W. Jones and wife Elizabeth Stoodley, Union; two daughters, Vickie Jones Pues and husband Patrick, Union, and Marsia Jones Scego and husband Dan, Washington; four grandchildren, Sarah Penton, Tyson Jones and wife Melissa, all of Union, Emily Hogan and husband Brad, Gilbert, Ariz., and Erin Scego, Chicago, Ill.; three great-grandchildren, Olivia Penton, Trinity Penton and Max Hogan; one brother, Shorty Shively and wife Helen, Hannibal; three sisters, Emma Jean Shively, Monroe City, Genieve Jones, Hannibal, and Evelyn Kropf, Mexico, Mo.; one sister-in-law, Theresa Shively; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends, including her beloved dog, Riggs.

Visitation was held from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, at Oltmann Funeral Home, Union.

A graveside service was held Monday, Nov. 19, at noon at Grand View Burial Park, Hannibal.

Memorials to Union Food Pantry or the Alzheimer's Association are preferred.

The family was served by Oltmann Funeral Home, Union.
