Martin "Bud" Hartzell Sr., 88, Pacific, passed away Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012.
Mr. Hartzell, the son of the late Morley Hartzell and wife Elsie, nee Eisberg, was born Nov. 14, 1923, in Maplewood.
He received his education from Eureka High School. On Dec. 24, 1947, Mr. Hartzell was united in marriage to Lorraine Quevreaux in St Louis.
He was a member of Carpenters Local 1739 and First Christian Church, Pacific.
Mr. Hartzell was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Morley F. Hartzell.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Hartzell, Pacific; one son, Martin Hartzell Jr. and wife Marleen, Pacific; three daughters, Donna Feller and husband Ron, Villa Ridge, Diann Heincker and husband Douglas, Dittmer, and Lynda Bay and husband Ed, Union; nine grandchildren, Teri, John, Dana, Jenna, Mark, Ryan, Tyler, Emily and Andrew; nine great-grandchildren, Levi, Kera, Brayden, Macey, Kyle, Noah, Seth, Trey and Corynn; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 12, at Nieburg-Vitt, Thiebes Funeral Home, Pacific, with the Rev. Jack Bone officiating.
Interment was in Sunset Cemetery, Pacific.
Memorials to First Christian Church, Pacific, are preferred.
The family was served by Nieburg-Vitt, Thiebes Funeral Home, Pacific.
