Joseph Frank Cidlik of Sullivan, was Baptized into the Hope of Christ's Resurrection on June 11, 1991, at the age of 86 years.
Joe, as he was known by his family and friends was born to the late John and Julia Pelan Cidlik at Dwight, Nebraska on November 25, 1904. On April 23, 1929, he was married to Irene Peters and to this marriage three children were born, of which one son, Joe Jr, preceded him in death. Mrs Cidlik also preceded Joe in death on May 5, 1976. Joe's vocation in life was that of a farmer, having farmed in the Salem area 15 years. He loved growing vegetables and was especially fond of his tomato and cucumber patch which could rival the best in the area. Joe was a faithful member of St Anthony Parish of Sullivan and his loving smile and personally will long be remembered by all who knew him.
Surviving is a son, Robert Cidlik, and a daughter Betty Andrae, both of Pacific, MO; seven grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Funeral mass was celebrated June 13, 1991 from Saint Anthony Catholic Church in Sullivan, Interment was in Saint Bridget's Catholic Cemetery, Pacific, MO. funeral arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, MO.
