Floyd Virginia Henry Green of St Clair, MO was born on November 17, 1893 in Grubville, MO, daughter of the late David Perkins and Kansas Virginia Perkins nee Frost. She was united in marriage to Claude Henry and four children came to bless theis union. In later years, she was united in marriage to George B Green. Floyd departed this life on September 6, 1991, having reached the age of 97 years, 9 months and 19 days.
She is survived by one son, Ward Henry and wife Irene of St. Charles, MO; by one daughter, Frances Reed and husband Vander of St Clair, MO; by eight grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. in addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, Claude Henry and George Green; by two sons, Forrest and Glen Henry; by five brothers, Grover, Elbert, George, John and Elmer Perkins, and by three sisters, Laura Henry, Cora Wagoner and Catherine Lewis.
Floyd was a Christian and an active member of the First Baptist Church of St. Clair, MO. In earlier years she had been involved in Royal Neighbors and the St Clair Senior Citizens Center, where she enjoyed the fellowship of many friends. Floyd's "career in life," was caring for her precious family, which meant so very much to her. Her favorite pastime was attending church and worshiping the Lord. She was always willing to help others in any way.
A kind and loving mother, grandmother, aunt, great-aunt cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
Funeral services were held September 9, 1991 at the First Baptist Church of St Clair. Mo. Interment was in Grubville Baptist church Cemetery in Grubville, MO.the family was served by the Russell colonial Funeral Home in St Clair, MO.
