Frank Raymond "Ray" Sida, Warrenton, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at his home, with his loving family by his side. He had reached the age of 81.
Ray was born in Washington to Jess Sida and wife Nancy, nee Foster, on March 9, 1931.
He was united in marriage on May 19, 1962, to Shirley Reinhardt. They celebrated 50 years of marriage.
He was a retired interior painter/decorator/contractor. After retirement, he sold cars for several dealerships in Warren, Lincoln and Franklin counties. He was a charter member of the Warrenton Elks Lodge, and also a lifetime member of the VFW Post 2661 in Washington. Ray served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed cars and playing golf.
He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Sida; one son, Stuart and wife Pam, Wright City; one daughter, Carmen Sida, O'Fallon; one brother, James Sida and wife Kathleen, Washington; one grandson, Zachary Sida; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Glenn and Jane Dothage, Freeburg; other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Jess Sida and Nancy Groeper; and his father and mother-in-law, Walter and Ruby Reinhardt.
A memorial celebration was held on Saturday, Jan. 12, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home, 510 East Main St., Warrenton, MO 63383. A memorial service followed at 11 a.m.
The family of Frank Raymond Sida have entrusted his care to Martin Funeral Home, Warrenton.
