John W. Ruck, Jr. of St. Clair, Mo, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 1986 at the St. John's Mercy Hospital, Creve Coeur, MO, having reached the age of seventy-seven years, seven months and twenty-six days. He was born on February 8, 1909, son of the late John W. Ruck, Sr. and Jennie May Carpenter Ruck.

On September 22, 1934, he was united in marriage to Viola Johanna Haffner, and one son came to bless this union.

Surviving are his son, Warren Ruck and wife, Sylvia of Lonedell, Mo, four grandsons, William, Kenneth, Thomas and Timothy Ruck all of Lonedell one sister-in-law, Lena Walther of St. Louis County, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. His wife preceded him in death on December 20, 1983. He was also preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

Mr. Ruck was a 50-year member of the Bricklayers Local no. 1 of Missouri, and had worked in the St. Louis area for many years.

A kind and loving father, grandfather and uncle, and a treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 7, 1986 at the Russell Colonial Chapel, St. Clair, Mo. Reverend Ted Marre officiating. Interment was in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Kirkwood, Mo.
