Shelby Jean Hischier of Villa Ridge died Tuesday, June 10, 1986, at St. John's Mercy Hospital. She was 49 years old.
Mrs. Hischier, daughter of Elma Meyer, nee Marsch, and the late Roy Meyer was born September 26, 1936, in Etlah. She was baptized and confirmed in the Presbyterian Church in Pacific. She grew up and received her education in the Pacific area.
November 2, 1957, she was united in marriage to Jack E. Hischier and to this union two children were born, whom she leaves to survive.
Mrs. Hishier was employed as a cook at Ralston Purina for many years. She was a member of the Methodist Church and the Lioness Club in Gray Summit.
She was preceded in death by her father, Albert Roy Meyer.
Survivors include: her husband, Jack E. Hischier; her mother, Elma Meyer of Pacific; two sons, Michael Lee Hischier and wife Susan of Washington and Mark Anthony Hischier and wife Joyce of Union; one brother, Vernell Wayne Meyer of Eureka; her mother-in-law, Eleanor Hischier of Washington; one grandchild; one sister-in-law; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Thursday, June 12, 1986, at the United Methodist Church of Gray Summit with Rev. Barry Woodward officiating. Interment was in Midlawn Memorial Cemetery in Union under the direction of Cedarvalley Memorial Chapel.
